These Terms govern your use of tlchelp.io and its portals (the "Service"), operated by TLC Help ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service is
TLC Help provides information about NYC TLC summonses, tools to read and track them, and a case-management platform that connects drivers with independent attorneys and OATH-registered representatives ("Representatives"). We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice. See our Disclaimer.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate information and keep your password secure. One person per account. You're responsible for activity under your account.
3. Cases and representation
- When you open a case you choose a service plan and pay the service fee shown before checkout.
- You authorize us to share your case information and documents with the Representative assigned to your case, and you sign a representative authorization so they may appear for you at OATH.
- Representatives are independent professionals responsible for their own advice and conduct.
- Until a Representative accepts your case, you remain responsible for responding to your summons by the hearing date.
- No outcome is guaranteed.
4. Fees, fines and refunds
- Service fees are for our service and representation, not for fines. Fines and penalties are owed to TLC.
- If you choose to pay a fine through the Service, we remit it to TLC on your behalf and may charge a handling fee shown before you pay.
- If we cancel a case before a Representative accepts it, the service fee is refunded. Other refund requests are reviewed case by case.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of documents and photos you upload. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the Service, including AI processing to read your summons. See our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, attempt to access other people's cases, or interfere with the Service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including any fine, penalty, suspension or revocation resulting from a summons.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use means you accept the changes.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
