Manhattanville (TLC zone 152) is a small upper Manhattan zone whose most common trips run to and from the zones around it. It had 613,065 pickups (about 1,680 a day) and 654,087 drop-offs in the 12 months to August 2026. Only 2.8% of trips start and end inside the zone. For drivers it also has something many uptown zones lack: two relief stands on West 127th Street with 13 spaces.
TLC Help totalled these from TLC's trip records. Only yellow, green and Uber/Lyft trips are in them; a black car or livery trip dispatched outside the apps is not.
Manhattanville at a glance
On TLC's map zone 152 borders Central Harlem (41), Central Harlem North (42), Hamilton Heights (116) and Morningside Heights (166). The Henry Hudson Parkway runs through it, with ramps listed in the city's street centerline file. TLC labels it "Boro Zone", which is a data category and not a legal line.
When rides start and end
Weekdays have two clear peaks: 8 a.m. (about 116 pickups) and 5 p.m. (about 111). Saturdays are slightly busier overall (about 1,845 pickups) and peak at 6 p.m. Sundays are the quietest day (about 1,513), and their busiest hour is midnight.
More riders arrive in the morning than leave: about 140 trips end here in the weekday 8 a.m. hour, against 116 that start. The data shows the flow, not the purpose of the trips.
Through the year
Pickups ranged from 46,999 in February 2026 to 56,092 in May 2026. August 2026 (50,695) was about 5% above September 2025, while Manhattan overall fell about 9% between those months.
Where trips go: out to the neighbors
The top destinations are Central Harlem North (7.9%), Morningside Heights (7.0%), Central Harlem (6.6%), Hamilton Heights (5.2%) and Washington Heights South (5.0%). Every one of the top ten trip origins is a Manhattan zone. 13.5% of app pickups were charged the Congestion Relief Zone fee, a little more than in the zones to the north and east, and 3.1% went to an airport.
Fares, tips and pay
The median app trip is 2.98 miles and 14.7 minutes, with a $16.98 fare and $14.72 median driver pay (tips and tolls not included). App tips average $0.76. Yellow taxi trips are longer (4.15 miles, $21.34 median fare) and their card tip rate is 10.8%. About a third of yellow pickups (32.9%) were charged the congestion fee. Green cabs picked up about 5 riders a day; their median trip was 2.02 miles and $12.80, and card-paying green riders tipped 17.7%.
Riders arriving here come most often from Central Harlem North (9.7% of drop-offs), Central Harlem (8.2%) and Morningside Heights (7.2%). A smaller flow comes from the Upper West Side: Upper West Side North (2.4%) and Manhattan Valley (2.1%).
Relief stands and taxi stand signs
At a relief stand you may park and leave your car for up to one hour; at a taxi stand drivers wait in the car for passengers (NYC DOT). TLC rules let you take any vacant relief-stand spot but you must obey the posted vehicle types and time limits (Chapter 80, §80-19(d)(7)). The Broadway signs mark a taxi stand: for-hire drivers must not pick up there (80-19(d)(2)), but green cabs may use it because the zone is in the Hail Zone. See relief stands and taxi stand rules.

Data on this page
Aggregates of public data. They describe trips and vehicles, never individual people.
Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Monthly cells with 1–9 trips are shown as blank (null). Pairs with fewer than 10 trips are not listed.
