Bronxdale at a glance
TLC lists zone 32 in the Bronx with the "Boro Zone" data label, which is not a legal line. It has four neighbours on TLC's map: Williamsbridge/Olinville, Allerton/Pelham Gardens, Pelham Parkway and Bronx Park. It ranks 30th of 43 Bronx zones by pickups.
Trips go everywhere
Bronxdale has no dominant destination. The top ten are "Outside NYC" (6.6%, TLC zone 265), Williamsbridge/Olinville (6.4%), Allerton/Pelham Gardens (5.6%), Bronxdale itself (5.4%), Norwood and Pelham Parkway (4.9% each), Co-op City (4.3%), Van Nest/Morris Park and Bedford Park (4.0% each) and Eastchester (3.5%). Together they take just under half of all pickups; the rest are spread across many other zones. Arrivals look the same: the top origin, Williamsbridge/Olinville, supplies only 6.8% of drop-offs.
For a driver this means a trip from Bronxdale can end almost anywhere in the north, east and central Bronx.
When rides start
Weekdays peak at 8 a.m. (about 149 pickups). In Williamsbridge/Olinville and Allerton/Pelham Gardens next door, 7 a.m. comes second; here 9 a.m. (116) is a little busier than 7 a.m. (114). Saturday is the busiest day (about 1,940 pickups against 1,767 on weekdays and 1,667 on Sundays), and its demand is flat: between about 98 and 107 an hour from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the top hour at 8 p.m. (107).
Drop-offs run late on weekends. On Saturdays the top arrival hour is 11 p.m. (about 111), and on Sundays 20.4% of drop-offs come between midnight and 5 a.m.
Month by month
September 2025 was the low (46,405 pickups) and March 2026 the high (61,367). Yellow pickups fell sharply in summer 2026: 613 in May, 143 in June, then 181 and 170 in July and August. App trips held steady, so the total barely moved. The trip records do not explain the yellow drop.
Fares and pay
The median app trip is 2.79 miles and 13.6 minutes, with a $15.25 fare and $13.36 driver pay (tips and tolls not included). Pay per engaged hour is $62.33, which counts only time with a rider on board. App riders tipped 1.5% of the fare, about $0.30 a trip. About 1% of app pickups go to an airport and 2.6% paid the Congestion Relief Zone fee.
Yellow trips are longer and slower: median 8.6 miles and 37.5 minutes, $34.50 on the meter.
Rules and stands
Bronxdale is in TLC's Hail Zone (Chapter 51), so yellow and green cabs may accept hails. Uber, Lyft and other FHV drivers may only take booked trips (80-19(c)(1), Chapter 80).
DOT's open data lists no relief stand and no taxi stand sign in zone 32 (checked 2026-10-12). Neighbouring Pelham Parkway has a one-space relief stand on Pelham Parkway South between Wilson Avenue and Eastchester Road. Background: relief stands and who can pick up where.

Data on this page
Aggregates of public data. They describe trips and vehicles, never individual people.
Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Monthly cells with 1–9 trips are shown as blank (null). Pairs with fewer than 10 trips are not listed.
