Dyker Heights at a glance
In TLC's zone lookup, zone 67 is a Brooklyn "Boro Zone", a data label, not a legal line. It shares edges with five zones on TLC's map: Bath Beach, Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst West, Borough Park and Sunset Park East.
It ranks 47th of 61 Brooklyn zones by pickups. Apps carried 99.0% of them. Yellow taxis drop off far more riders here (11,198) than they pick up (4,692).
When rides start
Weekdays (about 1,393 pickups) are morning-heavy. The 7 and 8 a.m. hours average about 111 and 114, and the 6–10 a.m. block holds about 27% of a weekday's pickups, 4th-highest in Brooklyn. Afternoons run at about 60–85 an hour.
Saturday is the biggest day (about 1,474 pickups), busiest from 5 to 7 p.m. (about 85–97). Sunday (about 1,179) is the lightest, peaking at 10 a.m. (about 72).
Riders come home late at weekends: the midnight hour is Sunday's top drop-off hour (about 77), and 20% of Sunday drop-offs arrive between midnight and 5 a.m.
Month by month: the December jump
Most months had 38,000 to 44,500 pickups. December 2025 had 55,047, up from 38,148 in November, and fell back to 44,436 in January. App pickups rose about 43% that month. Yellow taxi pickups rose more, from 388 to 958, and yellow drop-offs from 838 to 1,712. The trip records show the jump but not the reason. September 2025 was the quietest month (34,511).
As in other Brooklyn zones, yellow pickups dropped to 132–186 a month from June to August 2026, with no matching app drop. The records do not explain it.

Fares, trip length and driver pay
App trips are short and quick: a median of 2.03 miles and 12.1 minutes, a $13.65 fare and $11.18 driver pay before tips and tolls. Because they are quick, pay per engaged hour is $61.31, tied for 18th in Brooklyn. It counts passenger time only, so real hourly earnings are lower. Tips are 4.5% of fares (tied for 21st), about $0.94 a trip.
Manhattan trips are more common than the short medians suggest. 6.8% of app pickups and 17.8% of yellow pickups were charged the Congestion Relief Zone fee. Yellow trips have a $30.71 median fare over 6.6 miles. Only 1.6% of app pickups went to an airport.
Pickup rules and stands
Dyker Heights is part of TLC's Hail Zone. That means yellow and green cabs may take street hails here, and app drivers may pick up only riders sent by their base (80-19(c)(1)). Riders going into Manhattan at or below 60th Street pay a Congestion Relief Zone charge of $1.50 per app trip or $0.75 per taxi trip as of 2026-10-12 (MTA). See who can pick up where. This is general information, not legal advice.
DOT's open data shows no relief stand and no taxi-stand sign in zone 67 (checked October 12, 2026; vqu8-xef9, nfid-uabd). The nearest is the signed taxi stand on 86th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues in Bay Ridge. App drivers may not pick up at a taxi stand (80-19(d)(2)).

Data on this page
Aggregates of public data. They describe trips and vehicles, never individual people.
Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Monthly cells with 1–9 trips are shown as blank (null). Pairs with fewer than 10 trips are not listed.
