Westchester Village/Unionport (TLC zone 250) is an east Bronx zone where trips come and go in almost equal numbers: 671,026 pickups and 678,413 drop-offs in the 12 months to August 2026, or about 1,838 pickups a day. It is closely tied to one neighbor: Soundview/Castle Hill is both its top destination and its top origin. Weekday mornings bring more arrivals than departures, and there is a second pickup rush at 5 p.m.
App trips made up 663,276 of the pickups; the rest were 7,596 yellow taxi and 154 green cab trips. These are TLC Help's totals of TLC's trip files, which have no record of black car or livery rides outside the high-volume apps.
The zone at a glance
Zone 250 has five neighbors on TLC's map: Parkchester (182), Schuylerville/Edgewater Park (208), Soundview/Bruckner (212), Soundview/Castle Hill (213) and Van Nest/Morris Park (242). It ranks 27th of the Bronx's 43 zones by pickups (full ranking). "Boro Zone", its label in TLC's lookup table, is a data category only.
Two weekday peaks
On weekdays the zone gets busy twice. At 8 a.m. there are about 143 pickups and even more drop-offs (about 156), so in the morning more people arrive than leave. Then at 5 p.m. pickups rise again to about 120, higher than at 7 a.m. (114). Weekday drop-offs, by contrast, stay flat at about 87 to 102 an hour from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekends shift late. Saturday pickups are highest at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. (about 104 each). On Sundays, midnight is the top hour (98), and 19.3% of Sunday pickups start between midnight and 5 a.m.

Aggregates of public data. They describe trips and vehicles, never individual people.
Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Monthly cells with 1–9 trips are shown as blank (null). Pairs with fewer than 10 trips are not listed.
