Country Club (TLC zone 58) is a small, quiet zone on the east Bronx waterfront with a commuter rhythm: rides leave in the morning and come back in the late afternoon. About 256 trips a day start here (93,349 in the 12 months to August 2026). On weekdays, 32.9% of pickups start between 6 and 10 a.m., more than in any other Bronx zone. Over a quarter of trips go to just two neighboring zones.
In a full year, yellow taxis picked up only 666 riders here and green cabs 11; the other 92,672 pickups were Uber or Lyft. These are TLC Help's totals from TLC trip records, which do not record black car and livery trips outside the apps.
Country Club at a glance
TLC's zone map gives Country Club only two neighbors: Pelham Bay Park (184) and Schuylerville/Edgewater Park (208). It ranks 39th of 43 Bronx zones by pickups (see Bronx taxi zones ranked). The "Boro Zone" label in TLC's lookup table is just a data category.
Out in the morning, back in the afternoon
On an average weekday, pickups jump to about 27 at 7 a.m. and 27 at 8 a.m., then fall to 17 at 9 a.m. Drop-offs follow the opposite pattern: they peak between 4 and 6 p.m. (about 19 an hour), and 29.6% of weekday drop-offs happen between 4 and 8 p.m. In short, people leave in the morning and return later.
Weekends are flatter. Saturday's busiest pickup hours are 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (about 17 each). Sunday's are 8 p.m., 1 p.m. and 11 a.m., all around 13–14.
Steady through the year
Pickups were lowest in September 2025 (6,437) and highest in July 2026 (8,385). Most Bronx zones had their busiest month in March 2026, but Country Club's was July, and June to August 2026 each had more than 8,000 pickups. Yellow taxis made only 666 pickups all year, and green cabs 11.
Where trips go
Trips are short and focused. Schuylerville/Edgewater Park and Pelham Bay take 13.0% each. Then come "outside NYC" (TLC zone 265) at 6.9% and Van Nest/Morris Park at 5.8%. The top ten destinations hold 57.9% of all pickups, a much tighter pattern than in the busy west Bronx zones. The trips that end here most often start in the same two zones (14.3% and 13.6%).
Fares, pay and tips
The median app trip is 3.43 miles and 12.9 minutes, with a $16.15 fare and $13.59 median driver pay, about the Bronx middle ($13.50). Riders here tip more than most Bronx riders: 3.8% of the fare, about $0.85 a trip. 3.1% of app pickups went to an airport.
Yellow cabs drop off far more often than they pick up: 1,812 drop-offs against 666 pickups. Yellow trips from here are long, with a median of 9 miles and $35.50.
Rules and nearby stands
Country Club is in TLC's Hail Zone (Chapter 51), so a yellow or green cab may take a street hail here. App drivers must stick to base-dispatched trips (80-19(c)(1)). For out-of-city taxi fares, which apply to the 6.9% of trips leaving NYC, see the Bronx page.
NYC DOT lists no relief stand in zone 58 (dataset checked October 2026). The nearest is a 1-space taxi/FHV stand on Pelham Parkway South, about 1.5 miles away in a straight line.

Data on this page
Aggregates of public data. They describe trips and vehicles, never individual people.
Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Monthly cells with 1–9 trips are shown as blank (null). Pairs with fewer than 10 trips are not listed.
