Crotona Park East (TLC zone 60) is a crossroads: it touches eight other zones, more than almost any zone in the Bronx. About 1,651 trips a day start here (602,656 in the 12 months to August 2026), which ranks it 31st of 43 Bronx zones. Its strongest link is with East Tremont, which is both the top destination and the top origin. Two relief stands sit just outside the zone.
Uber and Lyft carried 595,936 of those riders, yellow taxis 6,588 and green cabs 132, in TLC Help's totals of TLC trip records. Black car and livery rides dispatched outside the big apps are not counted.

When rides start
Weekdays have one big hour: 8 a.m., with about 134 pickups, followed by 7 a.m. (109) and 9 a.m. (98). Saturday is an evening day; pickups run at about 105 to 108 an hour from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday is unusual: the top hour is 4 p.m. (about 84), just ahead of midnight (83) and 3 p.m. (82). Only 16.2% of Sunday pickups start between midnight and 5 a.m., less than in most nearby zones.
Drop-offs follow a flatter weekday line than pickups. The 8 a.m. hour is still the highest (about 99), but 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. are close behind (about 92 and 93). Late Sunday nights matter more for arrivals than departures: 20.4% of Sunday drop-offs happen between midnight and 5 a.m.
Month by month
The quietest month was September 2025 (42,249 pickups) and the busiest March 2026 (57,614). Summer 2026 held at about 50,000 a month. Yellow pickups shrank from 623 in May 2026 to 221 in August.

Relief stands next door
DOT's relief-stand data (checked October 2026) shows no stand inside zone 60, but two are close to its edge:
Both signs say 1 hour limit. You must obey the vehicle type on the sign (80-19(d)(7)), so Uber and Lyft drivers should use Southern Boulevard. More: relief stands.
Pickup rules
Zone 60 is in TLC's Hail Zone (Chapter 51). Yellow taxis and green cabs may take street hails; app drivers may not and must use their base (80-19(c)(1)).

Data on this page
Aggregates of public data. They describe trips and vehicles, never individual people.
Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Monthly cells with 1–9 trips are shown as blank (null). Pairs with fewer than 10 trips are not listed.
