Midwood at a glance
Zone 165 is a Brooklyn "Boro Zone" in TLC's zone lookup. That is a data category, not a legal boundary. TLC's zone map gives it five neighbors: Flatbush/Ditmas Park, Flatlands, Homecrest, Madison and Ocean Parkway South.
Midwood is 35th of 61 Brooklyn zones by pickups. Pickups and drop-offs are close (806,326 against 790,898). Apps carried 98.7% of pickups.

Weekdays average about 2,382 pickups. The 8 and 9 a.m. hours lead (about 186 and 178), and the afternoon holds at about 137–146 an hour from 2 to 6 p.m.
Saturday averages only about 1,568 pickups, two-thirds of a weekday and the 4th-lowest ratio in Brooklyn. Its busiest hours are 6 to 9 p.m., about 100 pickups each.

Across the whole week, only about 5.1% of pickups happen between midnight and 5 a.m. The Brooklyn zone median is about 9.1%. If you work overnight, Midwood will be quiet.

Winter is the high season. December 2025 to March 2026 each had about 77,500–78,900 pickups, with March the top (78,918). July 2026 was the low (55,563), about 30% below March.
Yellow pickups were about 790 to 1,230 a month until May 2026, then around 190–210 a month from June to August. App trips show no matching drop. The records do not explain this change, so be careful with it.

Data on this page
Aggregates of public data. They describe trips and vehicles, never individual people.
Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Monthly cells with 1–9 trips are shown as blank (null). Pairs with fewer than 10 trips are not listed.
