Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. The median app trip from here is 4.51 miles and 14.9 minutes, with a $19.53 fare. The median driver pay is $16.85, second in the Bronx. About 1 in 12 app trips from Riverdale was charged the Congestion Relief Zone fee, the MTA charge for the area of Manhattan at and below 60th Street. Riders pay it per trip: as of 2026-10-12 it is $1.50 on an app trip and $0.75 in a taxi or green cab (MTA). See congestion zone boundaries.

Pickup rules in zone 200

All of the Bronx is in TLC's Hail Zone (Chapter 51 defines it as everywhere in NYC except Manhattan below East 96th/West 110th Street and the airports). So yellow cabs and green cabs may both take street hails here. Uber, Lyft and other FHV drivers may only take trips booked through their base or app (80-19(c)(1)).

Because so many trips leave the city, two rules matter here. Under Chapter 80, a taxi or green cab driver must not refuse a rider going to Westchester or Nassau (80-20(a)(1)). One allowed reason is that you have driven more than 8 hours in a 24-hour period. On those trips the meter stays on, and the part outside the city is charged at twice the meter. Tell the rider when you cross the city line (80-17(f)(2)). Details: taxi trips outside NYC and tolls on trips outside NYC.

DOT's relief-stand dataset lists no relief stand in zone 200, and we found no current taxi-stand sign records here (both checked 2026-10-12). The nearest listed relief stand is on West 231st Street in Spuyten Duyvil/Kingsbridge. For the full list, see relief stands.
