Yellow, green and app: who serves this zone

App trips made up 2,106,467 of the pickups. Yellow taxis did 75,707, the 2nd-most in Brooklyn, and dropped off 124,799. Green cabs are rare: 654 pickups and 1,463 drop-offs in a whole year. Nearly half of yellow pickups (46.5%) paid the CRZ charge, so yellow rides from here often head to Manhattan below 60th Street.

Fares, trip length and driver pay

The median app trip was 3.0 miles and 17.6 minutes, with a $20.95 fare and $16.99 median driver pay before tips and tolls. The average app tip was $1.09. Yellow trips had a median 3.87 miles and a $26.10 fare. Per engaged hour, app pay was $60.63, but that leaves out time between trips.
