East Concourse/Concourse Village (TLC zone 69) is the third-busiest taxi zone in the Bronx. The weekday 8 a.m. hour is one of the biggest in the borough, with about 293 pickups and 312 drop-offs. 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). Fares and pay

App trips are short but not fast: a median of 2.31 miles in 14.6 minutes, with a $15.38 fare and $13.52 median driver pay, right at the Bronx middle. Because trips are slow for their length, pay per engaged hour ($59.67) is among the lowest in the Bronx (37th of 42). It counts passenger time only, so real hourly pay is lower still. The median yellow trip is 5 miles and $27.06. 4.0% of app pickups paid the MTA Congestion Relief Zone fee, more than in most Bronx zones.
