Marine Park/Floyd Bennett Field (TLC zone 154) is one of the quietest zones in Brooklyn, but the trips it has are long. In the 12 months to August 2026, only 22,307 trips started here, about 61 a day, 60th of 61 Brooklyn zones. The median app trip pays $18.22, 6th-highest in the borough. It is busiest on summer weekend afternoons, and JFK Airport is the top origin of trips ending here.

Numbers come from TLC trip records for yellow taxis, green cabs and high-volume app services (Uber, Lyft), September 2025 to August 2026, added up by TLC Help. Black car and livery trips that are not high-volume are not part of them. With so few trips, hourly averages here are small and can swing a lot.

Aggregated by TLC Help from TLC trip records, Sep 2025 – Aug 2026 (pickup date; TLC publishes trip files about two months after the month ends and may revise them). 'App' = high-volume for-hire services (Uber, Lyft). Taxi records with a negative fare (reversals) are excluded. Averages, medians and rates use 'clean' trips only: 1 minute to 4 hours, more than 0 and under 150 miles, fare above $0 and under $1,000. 'Fare' is the metered fare_amount for taxis and base_passenger_fare for app trips — before tolls, tips, taxes and surcharges — so it is not what the passenger paid in total. App driver_pay is TLC's 'total driver pay (not including tolls or tips and net of commission, surcharges, or taxes)'. Tips are separate. 'Per engaged hour' divides pay by passenger time only (pickup to drop-off). It leaves out time driving to pickups and waiting for requests, so real hourly earnings are lower; it is not the TLC minimum-pay formula. Month by month: a summer zone

Unlike its four neighbors, which all peak between December and March, summer clearly beats winter here. June 2026 was the top month (2,567 pickups), and May to August 2026 all passed 2,200. February 2026 was the low (1,181), and December to February were all under 1,300. The swing from best to worst month is the widest in Brooklyn.

Yellow pickups stayed small all year, about 34 to 72 a month, with only a small dip in summer (37–41 a month from June to August). Green cab counts are 0–9 every month, so they are hidden or zero.

Where trips go, and where they come from

Trips leaving the zone spread across southeast Brooklyn. No trips inside the zone make the top ten.

Trips arriving are different. JFK Airport is the top origin, 16% of drop-offs (5,152 trips). The origins dataset does not split these trips by sector; for context, yellow taxis made 5,588 of the zone's 32,279 drop-offs. The data shows where trips started and ended, not why riders came here from the airport.

Fares, trip length and driver pay

The median app trip is 4.63 miles and 17.2 minutes, with a $22.39 fare and $18.22 driver pay before tips and tolls. Pay per engaged hour is $64.88, 2nd in Brooklyn, though it counts only passenger time and not the long wait for a request in a zone this quiet. App tips are 4.1% of fares, $1.27 on average.

Yellow taxis had 599 pickups, enough for medians: 5.9 miles, 20.3 minutes and $28.50. On card-paid yellow trips, tips were 12.5% of fares, 7th-highest in Brooklyn. 4.4% of app pickups and 5.2% of yellow pickups were charged the Manhattan toll-zone fee.
